One of the hardest things to get right in your handmade business is pricing. You must account for your cost of materials, labor, and overhead costs, as well as markup your products to accommodate both wholesale and retail pricing. If you’re overwhelmed at the thought of figuring this out on your own or you’re tired of using clunky spreadsheets, you need to try Craft Maker Pro.

Craft Maker Pro is software designed specifically for handmade business owners. It helps you keep track of inventory, price your products, calculate tax, create invoices, and more. It’s super easy to use and saves you a lot of time and hassle. Here are some Craft Maker Pro reviews from real customers:

  • Craft Maker Pro Review: Eva Terry from 13Zenspirations said, “Using this program is a huge help. Entering all my inventory gives me actual numbers, not guesses about my yarn stash. When I create, with just a few clicks, the pattern/item is priced and ready for sale.”
  • Craft Maker Pro Review: Nancy Aymond from The Backyard Chicken Farmer said, “This is what I’ve been looking for. Since I work with fabrics a lot, I needed something that would accurately track my parts usage. Craft Maker Pro fits the bill! It perfectly tracks my fabric usage down to the quarter.”
  • Craft Maker Pro Review: Lisa Palmer from Never Bored Creations said, “I deal with so many small pieces that cost fractions of pennies. Craft Maker Pro takes the headache out of keeping track of all my pieces and the parts it takes to make them so I don’t burn up profit in record keeping!”

Craft Maker Pro Features

Craft Maker Pro can help your handmade business in so many ways! Yes, it helps you keep track of inventory levels, but it also helps you with pricing and invoicing. If those Craft Maker Pro reviews did not convince you, take a closer look at the features this software offers.

  • Track Inventory and Vendors: Craft Maker Pro automatically tracks your inventory from parts to finished pieces. You always know what’s on hand without sorting through boxes of supplies and inventory. Plus, you can set stock level alerts to keep your business on track.
  • Calculate Tax and Create Invoices: If you struggle to price your work, Craft Maker Pro can give you a breakdown of costs to help you make a good decision for your handmade business. It even accounts for an hourly rate. Additionally, Craft Maker Pro prepopulates tax rates for dozens of states and countries and takes care of invoicing for you.
  • Tips on Running a Handmade Business: Craft Maker Pro comes with a few bonus items that will help you run your handmade business better, such as training on Pinterest exposure and Facebook marketing. There’s also a notes section in the software to help you keep track of your business ideas.

Craft Maker Pro Pricing

At the time of this writing, Craft Maker Pro cost about $150. Please check Craft Maker Pro’s website for current pricing.

Craft Maker Pro is not the only inventory tracking and pricing software on the market. Many handmade business owners use Craftybase instead. The difference mostly comes down to the pricing structure. Craft Maker Pro is a one-time fee to purchase the software where Craftybase is a monthly subscription model. I think the one-time fee will save you money in the long run if you can afford to do it. That’s the biggest reason to choose Craft Maker Pro over Craftybase.

  1. How do you track inventory purchases through the year for tax purposes? The inventory reports only give you what’s in stock at the time. Cost of goods sold requires beginning inventory, purchases made during the period, and ending inventory. CraftMakerPro seems to fall short here. Am I missing something?

  2. Awful. Zero Support. After 2 days still have not been able to access the software program. The guy who created it, Gary, will get back to you when he obviously feels like it, otherwise, the customer is an inconvenience to him. The software sounds great, it sounds exactly what I needed, however after spending $147 and two days of waiting for help and not hearing from anyone and not having access to the download and taking a day off from work to get this set up…I am fed up with this. There is no customer support number, you have to wade through and decipher the steps to anything. If this is how it is like even before starting the program can you imagine what hell its going to be like to use the software! My business can’t be at risk due to some guy reeling in customers and leaving them hanging out to dry…taking their money and washing his hands of offering support. You’ve been warned!
