Welcome to Sewing Society!

Does your child want to learn how to sew? Cara offers hands-on sewing lessons out of her fully equipped home studio (near Herriman High School). Classes are limited to 1-2 students and tailored to their skill level and interests! (Recommended for ages 11-18.)

After only a few lessons, your child will feel confident threading a sewing machine, sewing in a straight line, and performing simple stitches by hand. As lessons progress, your child will learn how to read a sewing pattern, perform clothing alterations, and create anything they can dream up!

Classes are held one day per week for 1.5 hours. (3 month term.)

Every student who walks through my door will leave with not just new sewing skills but also the confidence to take on projects independently. My goal is to help students grow at their own pace and make sewing a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.

Cost of Classes and Materials

$500 per semester (Choose 1 day per week for 3 months)

Class Fee Includes:

  • 12 days of classes (1.5 hours each)
  • Personalized instruction
  • ALL Fabric and supplies! Just come and sew.
  • Access to all necessary tools and machines

Class Schedule / Hours of Operation

I teach three semesters. Sept-Nov, Dec-Feb, and March-May. If you want to start at a different time, contact me directly for availability (Cara 801-835-5704). Your tuition covers 12 days of instruction. Classes are held the first 4 weeks of the month and a makeup day is offered the 5th week.

Here is the class schedule. You will get to choose one time slot (first come/first serve). Classes only have 1-2 students each, and I try to group students based on age and skill level.

How to Pay Tuition

Attention: I am a Utah Fits All Scholarship approved vendor. Pay for 12 (1.5 hour) classes through the UFA Marketplace. I can provide Venmo information, upon request.

I prefer if students follow my semester guidelines of Sept-Nov, Dec-Feb, and March-May, but other arrangements can be made.
