I love bubble quilts. I think they’re the perfect place for little kids to nap and play. I’m currently working on one for my son — I’ll share photos soon.
While looking for inspiration for my bubble quilt, I came across a fun Etsy shop that sells all sorts of bubble items. Michelle from Happy Squishies makes bubble cushions, bubble quilts, bubble crutch covers, and more. They are super cool! Head over to her Etsy shop, Happy Squishies, and check them out.
Here Are Some of Michelle’s Latest Creations
Notice: I did not receive a free bubble quilt or crutch cover in exchange for this post. I also do not receive an affiliate commission when you click through and buy bubble items from Happy Squishies. I truly think Michelle’s designs are amazing and you should check them out for yourself.
The Story Behind Happy Squishies
Michelle has always loved crafting and has honed her sewing skills over the years. She opened her Etsy shop, Happy Squishies, back in 2011. Now she’s nearing 1,000 sales and has a five-star average review in her shop. She also sells handmade items on her Facebook page.
Happy Squishies is constantly evolving because Michelle loves coming up with new items. In the beginning, she was selling sparkly ornaments. Then, Michelle became a grandma and turned her attention to bubble quilts after making one for her granddaughter. The bubble quilts (tutorial here) were a big hit and led to bubble pillows, bubble cushions, bubble Easter egg baskets, and her original-design bubble crutch covers. Now, Michelle is adding custom baby dolls to her Etsy shop.
Michelle’s bubble crutch covers are an awesome idea. If you’ve ever had to use crutches, you know they can make your armpits sore. Michelle’s bubble crutch covers are super comfy and you can order them with a matching crutch bag. She came up with the idea after her friend’s daughter had knee surgery and wanted some crutch pads to save her armpits. To date, the bubble crutch covers are still one of Michelle’s best-selling items.
Michelle will still whip up a bubble quilt or bubble crutch cover for you, but her current attention is shifting to cloth dollmaking. Her dolls are super cute and all of them are unique, right down to the face and clothing.
Here are some of the plushies she’s already created:
Michelle has a couple plushie dolls for sale in her Etsy shop, but Happy Squishies is also taking custom doll orders on Facebook. I hope you like the Happy Squishes shop on Etsy as much as I do!
