Free Sewing Planner Sheets: The Only 2 Pages You Actually Need

Don't buy a huge sewing planner when you really only need 2 pages to plan all of your projects.

Free Sewing Planner Sheets: The Only 2 Pages You Actually Need

You've probably seen those sewing planner bundles with 40+ pages. They include all sorts of pages, like fabric inventory logs, yearly goal trackers, a page for your "sewing journey," etc. I love a good planner, but most of the pages in those planners end up half filled out and buried in a binder.

I wanted to make something you'd actually use…

So, I created two essential planning pages instead of forty that you can print off whenever you need them.

The Essential Sewing Planner Sheets are a free printable download built around the two things that actually matter when you're planning a sewing project: knowing your measurements and knowing what you need before you cut into your fabric.

Sheet 1: Body Measurements Tracker

This one solves the pattern sizing guessing game. You've got one spot to record:

  • Bust and high bust

  • Waist and hips

  • Shoulder width

  • Arm length

  • Inseam

  • Torso length

Plus an Alteration Notes section, so the fit adjustments you always end up making (shortening the bodice, taking in the shoulders, whatever your body needs) are written down instead of relearned every single time you sew.

If you sew for other people too, print a copy per person. No more trying to remember whether your sister needs a full bust adjustment or just a shorter hem.

Sheet 2: Project Planning Sheet

This is the page that stops the mid-project scramble. Before you cut a single piece of fabric, fill in:

  • Pattern details

  • Fabric requirements

  • Notions

  • A sketch or inspiration space

  • Notes on cutting layout, size adjustments, or anything else worth remembering

  • It's the difference between "wait, did I buy elastic?" halfway through construction and actually being ready to sit down and sew.

    Why just two pages?

Because you don't need a system. You need a habit. Two pages you'll actually fill out beat forty you'll ignore. Print them as many times as you want, for as many projects and people as you sew for.
