Take a look at my latest Harry Potter sewing project — a long-sleeve t-shirt with color blocking across the yoke and sleeve.
My sister is a major Harry Potter fan, so I made this shirt for her. I used Butterick pattern B6418, and it only took 2 hours! The sleeves are a little long, but overall it was an easy pattern. I used a serger and coverstitch machine to complete this sewing project.
I first saw this fun Harry Potter knit fabric when a friend used it to make a color-blocked hoodie for her daughter. I think she got the fabric from JoAnns, but you can get it on Amazon.
One thing I love about sewing is that you can create unique garments that truly express your personality. If you know someone who loves Harry Potter, you’ve got to make something out of this Maurder’s Map fabric. It pairs really well with the maroon cotton lycra from Peek-A-Boo Pattern Shop.
If my embroidery machine wasn’t in the shop, I would have embroidered something cute near the hem, like “Mischief Managed” or “I Solemnly Swear I am Up to No Good.” That would have taken this Harry Potter design over the top!

If you’re looking for a good pattern to do some Harry Potter colorblocking, try the Aspen Pullover or the Pinnacle Pullover from Peek-A-Boo Pattern Shop. They would work really well!
