My Honest Madam Sew Review (Are Their Products Worth It?)
Madam Sew keeps showing up all over Facebook, but are their products actually worth buying? I've tried a lot of them and I'm sharing my completely honest review, including the two I absolutely love, the one I could live without, and a few things to know before you order.

I'm sure you've seen those viral Madam Sew videos floating around Facebook lately. They're everywhere! And if you're anything like me, they made you wonder — is Madam Sew actually legit, or is it just clever marketing?
Well, I've tried six of their products and I'm here to give you my honest take.
Overall, I've been mostly impressed. Mostly. Some products are genuinely great, a couple are just okay, and one I could probably live without. Here's my breakdown:
Seam Guide Ruler and Magnetic Seam Guide ⭐⭐⭐
The magnetic seam guide is handy, especially if you're a beginner who has a hard time sewing a straight line. But I don't really use the seam guide ruler. Almost every sewing machine already has seam guide markings on the needle plate, so it feels a little redundant. The magnetic guide is the useful part of this set.
Easy Bias Tape Makers (4 sizes) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
If you've ever tried to make bias tape by hand, you know how tedious it is. Getting the folds just right, not burning yourself with the iron… it's a lot. That's why I love these bias tape makers so much. They fold both edges of your fabric at the same time and produce perfectly even bias tape every single time. This is genuinely one of my favorite Madam Sew products. I use it all the time.
Heat Erasable Fabric Marking Gel Pens ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I really like these pens. They come in several colors, including white, which is great for dark fabrics. They work beautifully on cotton and disappear completely when you press them with an iron. My only complaint is that the cap doesn't stay on tightly. It screws on and off so you can add refills, but the cap keeps coming loose. A little annoying, but not a dealbreaker.
Lighted Seam Ripper ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I love, love, love this seam ripper. Everyone who sews needs one, and this one from Madam Sew is the best I've used. It has an ergonomic handle and a little switch that turns on an LED light. Seeing those tiny stitches up close is so much easier with the light. I didn't realize how much I needed it until I had one. Highly recommend.
Needle Sorting Pincushion ⭐⭐⭐
This is a clever little product. If you change your needle mid-project but think it still has some life left in it, you can park it in one of the labeled compartments so you always know what type it is. I personally prefer to start every project with a fresh needle, so I don't use this much, but I can definitely see the value if you like to save your needles. A cute idea.
A Few Things to Know Before You Buy
Pin ItOn presser feet: I'd be a little careful about buying the Madam Sew presser foot set if you have a higher-end machine. If you have a standard Brother or Singer, you're probably fine. But if you have a Bernina, you'll need a presser foot adapter.
On shipping: I've seen some negative reviews of Madam Sew online, but most of the complaints seem to be about international shipping. If you're ordering from within the U.S., I don't think you'll run into any issues.
So yes, Madam Sew is a legit company with some genuinely useful sewing products. The bias tape makers and the lighted seam ripper are the standouts for me. Have you tried any Madam Sew products? I'd love to hear what you think in the comments!
