Halloween Boo Door Hanger: A Fun In-the-Hoop Embroidery Project

If you have an embroidery machine and you're looking for a fun Halloween project, you have to check out the Boo Wall Hanger from Sweet Pea. It is soooo cute!

I made one of these for a sewing swap last year and finished the whole thing in one afternoon. It was so quick and so satisfying that I'm already planning to make more for friends and family this year.

About the Pattern

The Boo Door Hanger from Sweet Pea is an in-the-hoop (ITH) design, which means the entire project stitches out right in the hoop. No separate construction needed! When you're done, you'll have three individual blocks that you link together with ribbon.

The pattern works with a 5"x7", 6"x10", or 7"x12" hoop, so it's compatible with a wide range of embroidery machines. The instructions are detailed with pictures at every step, and I found them really easy to follow.

What I Used

For my Boo door hanger, I grabbed four fat quarters from Walmart in black, orange, purple, and green. Super affordable! Then I used a variety of embroidery thread colors from my stash to stitch everything out. I love how it turned out!
