I just got a new cutting table for my sewing room and I love it!

I bought the Sew Ready Studio Designs Folding Multipurpose Hobby and Craft Cutting Table with Drawers (13374) on Amazon.

If you don’t have a good place to cut out fabric, I recommend Sew Ready Studio Designs’ cutting table. I owned a similar cutting table from another brand, and the Sew Ready table is so much better. It is sturdier and I don’t think I’ll need a new one for a long time.

What I Like About the Sew Ready Cutting Table

  • Adjustable-Height Legs
  • Collapsible Leafs
  • Built-in Storage Bins
  • Sturdy Design
  • Locking Casters

The Sew Ready Studio Designs multipurpose cutting table has adjustable-height legs. This is an important feature in a cutting table because you don’t want to hunch over while cutting out fabric and give yourself a backache. If you’ve ever cut out fabric on your dining room table, or the floor, you know what I’m talking about… You can adjust this cutting table to the perfect height for you. I am 5’7” and it can easily accommodate people taller than me. I also like that the legs are on casters which make this table easy to move.

If you’re worried you don’t have room for a cutting table in your sewing room, the Sew Ready Studio Designs cutting table is a good option because it has two leafs that collapse for easy storage. You can use the table with one leaf up or pull them both out to create a cutting surface that is 36 inches by 58 inches. That’s the perfect size for cutting out large patterns.

I also bought a Sullivans 36”x59” cutting mat to go on the top. It covers the entire table and is perfect for use with a rotary cutter. It only hangs over the edge of the cutting table by half an inch (see picture to the right).

Yeah, I’m one happy girl right now…

The Sew Ready Studio Designs cutting table also has a shelf and storage bins built in underneath. This helps make it sturdier than other cutting tables. It does cost a little bit more than cutting tables from other brands with a similar design, but this one is, by far, the best.

What I Don’t Like About the Sew Ready Cutting Table

  • Price
  • Assembly

The Sew Ready Studio Designs cutting table is a premium product. It costs about 50 percent more than the competition. However, I do think the quality is worth the extra cost. If you’re simply looking for an inexpensive cutting table, I recommend Sullivans Home Hobby Table. It is the most inexpensive cutting table, but it does not have built-in storage and it is not as sturdy as the Sew Ready Studio Designs cutting table. I got my Sew Ready Studio Designs cutting table on sale in January.

Another thing I don’t like about the Sew Ready Studio Designs cutting table is how long it takes to build. It comes in a large box and took me and my husband about two hours to assemble. However, the instructions were clear and all of the pieces were included. I was a little concerned that I’d have missing pieces because of reviews I read on Amazon, but that didn’t turn out to be the case. Everything was there. The only tool you need that is not included is a Phillip’s head screwdriver.

Overall, I recommend the Sew Ready Studio Designs folding cutting table. It is sturdy and a great space saver in my sewing room. It also comes in a few different color options. I bought a rotary cutting mat for the top and you can also get an iron cover.

  1. As a little update, I hate the little pins that hold the baskets in place on this cutting table. My toddler keeps pulling them out, haha.
