I’ve been sewing pajama pants for my two boys this week. I wanted to have a couple pairs to give them for Christmas. I used the Pajama Party Pants pattern from Peek-a-Boo Pattern shop. It is so easy to follow and perfect for a beginner!

Pattern Description: Children’s pajama pants with elastic waistband. Sizes 12 months to 10 years.

Time to Sew: 20 Minutes

Difficulty: Beginner

Format: PDF (Regular 8.5×11) Instant Download

One thing I really like about these pajama pants is that the back is larger than the front. This gives the seat of the pants more room and makes it easier to tell which way to put them on.

The pajama party pants are super easy to sew. If you can sew in a straight line, this project should be no problem for you. Pajama pants are an excellent beginner sewing project.

I’ve used this pattern a few times in a few different sizes. My son loves his pajama pants. Here’s a cute photo of him wearing a pair I made earlier this year:

Materials Needed to Sew Pajama Pants

I used flannel to sew pajama pants for my boys, but this pattern is perfect for any type of cotton. If you’re curious, I got the plaid fabric in the photo above from JoAnn.com.

Here are the notions you’ll need to buy to sew pajama pants:

If you prefer a thicker waistband, you can easily use wider elastic. There is plenty of give in this pattern for that. The sizing seems a little large.

I love Peek-a-Boo patterns so much that I signed up as an affiliate. I earn a small commission when you buy the Pajama Party Pants pattern through my affiliate link. Thanks for supporting my blog!

Let me know if you try this pajama pants pattern. I’d love to see photos!
