If you have an embroidery machine, and you’re looking for something fun to sew for Halloween, you have to check out the Boo Wall Hanger from Sweet Pea. It is soooo cute!

I made one of these Halloween door hangers for a sewing swap last year. I finished the whole project in one afternoon! I plan on making more of these Boo door hangers for friends and family.

Sweet Pea’s Boo Door Hanger can be made on a 5×7, 6×10, or 7×12 hoop, and the best part is that the complete project is stitched out in the hoop (ITH). When you’re finished, you’ll have three different blocks that you can link together with some ribbon. The pattern comes with detailed, picture instructions. I found them easy to follow.

For my Boo door hanger, I picked up four fat quarters from Wal-Mart for cheap — black, orange, purple, and green. Then, I used various colors of embroidery thread from my stash. I love how it turned out!

If you decide to make this ITH door hanger for Halloween, leave a picture in the comments below. We’d love to see what colors you pick and what creative liberties you take! We’d also like to see any other Halloween decorations you’ve created with your embroidery machine.
