  • “Wow, that bag looks amazing!
  • “That shirt must have taken you hours to make!”
  • “How special for you to sew his name on it!”

Don’t you love when people compliment the things you make? That’s something that always seems to happen when I use my embroidery machine.

An embroidery machine helps you add unique designs and personalization to your sewing projects. It has taken my sewing game to a whole new level.

Isn’t that something you want, too? Why haven’t you bought an embroidery machine yet?

I know what you’re thinking…

You want an embroidery machine, but you’re worried it is out of your price range and you don’t know what features to look for anyway.

Let me make this a little easier on you…

It’s true that some embroidery machines cost more than $7,000, which is not in the budget for most people. However, there are affordable embroidery machines that can do practically everything one of the more expensive machines can do.

I recommend the Brother SE1900 because it offers the most bang for your buck. And, the best part is that you won’t have to shell out thousands of dollars to get it.

Whether you’re looking for ways to take your handmade business to the next level or you simply want more options for embellishing and personalizing your sewing projects, you need an embroidery machine.

The One Mistake I Made When Buying an Embroidery Machine

My first embroidery machine was the Brother SE400. I loved that machine more than anything! We spent countless hours together creating embroidered towels and embellishing all sorts of other fun projects.

However, I don’t think you should buy the Brother SE400…

I bought that machine for a couple of reasons. First, I needed a new sewing machine and the Brother SE400 could do everything a sewing machine could do with the bonus feature of embroidery. Secondly, the SE400 was inexpensive, which is what I needed at the time.

I personally think a sewing and embroidery machine combo is the way to go. That way you don’t have to worry about an extra machine taking up space in your sewing room.

My regret is that I didn’t spend a little extra money to get an embroidery machine with a 5”x7” embroidery field. The SE400 can only embroider as big as 4”x4”.

Don’t make the same mistake as me!

If you’re going to buy an embroidery machine, 5″x7″ should be your minimum. This size makes embroidering names easier because you don’t have to unhoop your project halfway through. Plus, there are thousands of designs to download and use on this larger size.

I think the best sewing and embroidery machine combo for the price is the Brother SE1900.

Why Buy the Brother SE1900?

I love Brother sewing and embroidery machines because they are easy to use and affordable.

The Brother SE1900 is amazing! It has a 5”x7” embroidery field, 138 built-in embroidery designs, a USB port for transferring designs from your computer, and a large touchscreen display. The automatic needle threader is also handy. It is the perfect embroidery machine for both experts and beginners.

Brother SE1900 Sewing and Embroidery Machine Review

Go ahead and make the investment in an embroidery machine now. They aren’t as difficult to use as you’re imagining.

You won’t regret it when you see someone’s eyes light up after opening a personalized, embroidered gift from you. It’s always nice to receive handmade gifts, but embroidered gifts are even better.

It all boils down to this…

  • Do you want to embroider names and dates on towels, bags, shirts, and more?
  • Do you want to add impressive embellishments to the things you sew?
  • Do you want to increase your sewing and embroidery skills?

You need an embroidery machine! It will be one of the best investments you make.

If you’re waiting for embroidery machines to come down in price, that is not going to happen! They go up in price every year and I hardly ever see them go on sale. Embroidery machines are premium products. People start out with a sewing machine, then they get a serger, but only the most dedicated get an embroidery machine.
