I subscribe to ThreadCrate, a sewing subscription box for women. This is the third month that I have received a box from them, so I thought it was time to write a proper review. It’s been fun to sew something new for myself every month. I hope you find this sewing subscription box review helpful.
Sewing subscription boxes are a lot of fun. You sign up and then sewing projects are delivered to your door every month. A monthly sewing subscription takes the guesswork out of choosing a pattern, buying the right type of fabric, and also gathering all the required notions. That means you’ll have more time for the actual sewing and your finished sewing project is more likely to turn out well.
ThreadCrate: A Women’s Sewing Subscription Box
ThreadCrate is amazing! It has more than exceeded my expectations for a sewing subscription box. I have been surprised at the value you receive for your money.
Every ThreadCrate box includes a sewing pattern for a women’s garment. I think it’s fun that I get to sew something for myself every month and slowly build my wardrobe. The first box I received from ThreadCrate had a cardigan, the second had a color-blocked hoodie, and the third had a wrap dress. In addition to the women’s sewing pattern, ThreadCrate includes at least 3 yards of continuous fabric to complete your project.
One thing I really like about ThreadCrate is the community support. There is a private Facebook group you get to join once you subscribe. We all help each other with questions and can participate in a sew along. Because there is so much support, I think ThreadCrate is totally something a beginner could try.
Overall, I am very happy with my ThreadCrate subscription. I highly recommend ThreadCrate if you love sewing but hate the planning stage of picking a sewing pattern, choosing fabric, and then gathering all the necessary sewing notions.
In the past, I have not sewn a lot of things for myself. ThreadCrate has motivated me to change that! Sewing your own clothes is a great way to create a wardrobe that actually fits and that you can be proud to wear.
It’s very hard to wait for my sewing subscription box to arrive each month. I open it as soon as I get it inside. ThreadCrate has brought a lot of joy to my life.
The biggest competition to ThreadCrate is IndieStitch. These sewing subscription boxes are similar in price and both include a women’s sewing pattern. I have not personally tried IndieStitch yet, but I thought you might want to know about it to compare the options for yourself.
